TDX News : Jan 2010
Welcome to the first issue of TDX news. 2009 was an excellent year for TDX with the successful ramping up of our extrusion business, comprehensive investment program for the tool-room and some exciting new arrivals on the client front. With an equally exciting year ahead in 2010 we thought it would be a good idea to keep you informed of what is happening at TDX in a twice yearly newsletter.
In December TDX celebrated its 10th anniversary in business. To help us celebrate this milestone TDX held its first golf day at Tyneside Golf Club in September.I would like to thank all of the suppliers and customers who attended and contributed towards making it such an enjoyable day. Such was the feedback we intend to make this an annual event. Anyone wanting to attend in 2010 please send your contact details to sales@tdx-tss.com.
2009 was very much a year of consolidation and controlled growth for TDX with much of the focus on investment that will provide improved productivity in 2010. 2010 will see TDX resume its growth strategy in both the tooling/product design & development division and the extrusion division. To assist with this growth I am pleased to announce the appointment of Trevor Marr as Commercial Director. Trevor will work closely with the board, finance team and me and will head up the day to day administration of the business.
I would like to thank all of our customers for their continued business throughout 2009 and indeed over the last 10 years and wish you all the very best for 2010.
Mark Prinn

TDX Tooling and Product Design/Development.
In December we commenced the relocation and integration of our product design/development department into the tool room. This move is in response to a significant increase in demand for our design and sample services and will provide increased flexibility and capacity for the design, development and sample department.
In 2009 we invested heavily in the new look Tooling and Product Design/Development unit with a view to improving productivity, efficiency, output and quality in 2010. Significant investments were made in two new DMU 5-axis CNC machines, a deep hole gun drill and new large bed surface grinder.
We anticipate our renovations to be complete in April and will welcome all customers to come and visit the facility to have a look around and see our capabilities first hand. To schedule a visit please send a mail with your contact details and preferred visit dates to sales@tdx-tss.com

TDX Extrusion
2009 saw us reach optimum capacity on our current PET extrusion line and focus on internal productivity and efficiency optimisation. In 2010 we will resume our growth strategy in the extrusion division with the installation of a 7500 tonne per annum Bandera twin screw extruder. Machine acceptance is scheduled for April and we anticipate being fully operational in time for the peak summer demand.

The increased capacity that this expansion will create will allow TDX to further expand the supply of its Recoupet™ brand of recycled post consumer PET thermoforming film. For further details please visit our website http://www.tdx-tss.com/
Alternatively if you would like us to visit you to discuss your A/RPET requirement please contact me on 0191 440 7000 or e-mail m.prinn@tdx-tss.com
