A major investment in green technology at a plastics company is set to create 20 jobs.
The £1.5m investment in cutting-edge plastic extrusion technology has given a 20-jobs boost for Gateshead-based Thermodynamix Thermoforming Specialist Services Ltd (TDX).
TDX is a leading player in supplying and servicing thermo-formed plastic packaging for food products.
Its new production line will be heavily dependant on recycled material from plastic products such as waste fizzy drinks and mineral water bottles.
Staffing levels are set to increase from 50 to 70 and turnover is projected to rise from £3m to around £9m as a result of the investment in the green machine.
